hi substack ♡
˚ ⊹₊⋆. ⋆˙⟡ ⋆.˚ ⊹₊⟡ ⋆
when substack really started getting popular, i had a lot of people tell me i should start one since i have so much to say about many different topics. i was on the fence about joining for lots of reasons. for starters, i’m definitely not a “real” writer (although i like to think i can write a great email and a fun instagram caption). i also have had this dream of starting a youtube channel for years and felt that that should come first (it hasn’t lol). and the list goes on. all this to say, i don’t know what made me finally decide to create a substack on pretty much the last day of 2025, but here we are.
i’ve always really really loved clothes, traveling, and cooking. over the years it seems that i’ve found and connected with people via the internet (and obviously in person too) that at least somewhat value my thoughts on these matters! i also came to the realization over the last few months that people especially want travel guides and recipes from me.
i moved to seoul last year and i’ve been able to finally see so much more of asia — in the last twelve months i’ve visited tokyo, hokkaido, hong kong, saigon, bangkok, bali/lombok, jeju — as well as ireland, greece, and paris. i have spent countless hours researching interesting places to visit, and since i share snippets of these travels on ig often, i’ve been inundated with requests from people to share travel guides, restaurant recommendations, favorite shops, the works! i don’t really feel like sharing all this information on instagram nor do i think it’s the right place for it. i also know how much work goes into putting together these guides (the tokyo guide alone took me over a week to put together… plus a year’s plus worth of research).
i want to start sharing this info with people who care about travel, food, clothes, etc., and i’m hopeful it might make sense for you to subscribe.
i’m planning to publish a few posts each month as a part of a paid subscription:
☆ a new travel guide every month (first up will be tokyo, then one-by-one the cities listed above + more. each guide will be complete with photos + descriptions of my favorite shops, restaurants, cafes, department stores, neighborhoods, bars, and more. i promise to make them as comprehensive and worthwhile as can be!)
☆ my own favorite, go-to recipe(s) like my yuzu-mushroom pot rice, or 10-minute WFH lunches
☆ seoul (+ nyc) updates - new places to visit/see/shop/eat in the two cities i call home
☆ and more! best of/favorites + wishlists (my favorite knife, gift wrapping ideas, the best kitchenware or towels, dinner party ideas with sample menus, etc etc etc)
thank you for being here!! i hope i can make every paid subscription more than worth it. i’m very excited to start sharing more with you all ... <3

Going to Tokyo this year and just saw your post on insta! I am so excited, can’t wait to read everything. I have actually been following you for a long time on insta, and one of the things that inspired me a lot were your pictures of hiking in the US (Montana), so if you’re out of ideas…😗
